About Me

Hello my name is Scarlett Day I am a freshman Graphic design student from Warrenton Virginia. The reason why I decided to take this class was because in the future I want this to be my job. I wanna create something for other people to enjoy and use in their everyday life or make something that other people can enjoy for years on end or for even just a second. If I can manage to accomplish that I know I can die happy and content with my life. The other reason why I decided to take this class was so I can have more options for career choices down the line that still relate to the thing I love to do which is drawing. Originally before I stepped into this class the only thing I wanted to be when I grew up was an animator and while I still want to do that in the past year or so I realized that the job of an animator isn’t as easy and stable as a job as I originally thought. I feel like it’s important to keep an open mind when deciding what to do with your life because that's a big decision and your first choice may not be what you end up wanting to do. Originally went I stepped into Mr. Newmans class room I will be honest I was mainly just in it cause one it was part of the requirements for the animation class and two I heard that at some point down the line we got to do some animation which I was excited about. In the end however I came back learning a lot more things that I never thought I would see myself doing. It also doesn’t stop at learning photoshop and adobe illustrator. I also learned more about the computer that I was using and things I never knew about before taking this class. I'm considering making a job out of being a graphic designer and I plan on continuing to take this class next year. Other than graphic design and animation I'm also a huge musical nerd. I love participating in musical productions and while I didn’t participate in the musical this year I plan on most likely going for it next year. I like to play video games though I don’t consider myself a good gamer. Like with most things I have a hard time completing things or just finishing things in general so a lot of the games I have played are either half way done or i've barely even started. That's why I enjoy more simple sandbox games like minecraft because there isn’t as big of an emphasis on completing that game all the way through and it's more about having fun and playing the game how you want to play it. I like watching shows, mainly cartoon shows like Amphibia, The Owl House, Gravity Falls, Hilda, and Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur. Thats all I really have to say about me.
